Cartesi is a layer 2 solution that solves two fundamental issues of the current blockchains: Scalability and Restrictive Development Environment. Scalability: We move most of the complex logic of the dapps offchain in a deterministic and (bit-by-bit) environment that can be verified by the blockchain in case of disputes. Restrictive Development Environment: In Cartesi we emulated a RISC-V microprocessor running a LINUX OS on top, this provides the developers access to all the developer tools, API and programming languages they are used to.
